Indian Politics - Repercussions of Central government's recent decisions

The current Indian government has introduced the CAA act and has promised a nationwide NRC as well. But I guess they have not realized that people have not yet accepted it although it is passed in both houses of Parliament. They were doing the same kind of protest the way the youth is protesting during the 1970s. I firmly believe in Karma and it has come back hunting them. But they are still adamant that they want to implement it. They think just like demonetization worked in their favor, this will also do. I don't know how well they have sensed the public. There are bigger issues like unemployment, economic slowdown, women safety, rising prices of basic commodities like onion, petroleum, LPG gas. We are also the country with most internet and phone services being shut down across the globe. Let's go one by one...

Unemployment - We don't know how bad the unemployment in our country is as the government has not released any data for it.

Economic Slowdown - The economy is at its worst phase since the last 6 years. If you remember the BJP government when came to power in 2014. They changed the matrix for calculating GDP. At that time they changed the GDP which was at 4.5% during the UPA regime to 7%. If we go by that calculation and use the UPA matrix. The current NDA GDP is 4.5% as per the new matrix and 2% as per the UPA matrix.

Women Safety - According to the Thomson Reuters Foundation poll 2018. India is the most dangerous country for women in India. This was in 2nd place while the UPA government was in power. It has gone from bad to worse. There has been no initiative in this regard.

Rise in commodity prices - The government is least bothered as the prices are skyrocketing since the last few months. This is the same government which made a big issue when prices of onion rose. Currently, it is priced at 120/- per Kg.
When petrol prices were above ₹60/-. Currently, it is ₹80/- per liter.
When a dollar was more than ₹60/- during the UPA regime. Currently, it is at more than ₹70/-

Phone and Internet services shut down - The people of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and many cities are facing the wrath of this government. As they have shut down the internet and phone services so that people should not bathe and protest against CAA & NRC. I guess they forgot that the essence of this country lies in diversity. It's not just about the Muslims being sidelined. Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar wrote the world's best constitution and they are trying to rewrite it. This will only create a divide in our country. We have had differences but have never asked for a nation which has inferiority for one and superiority for some selected few. Just imagine today they have left out Muslims, tomorrow they will ask for Dalits to be separated. Then some other religion. We as a country are still fighting over religion that's why we are not making progress the way western countries do. Please do not vote on the basis of religion, choose your MLA/MP wisely on the basis of merits and groundwork. Hope you enjoyed reading this.
